IDKHOW new album "Razzmatazz"

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

If you've always wished for an encounter with the third way or are in the mood for new, unusual music, then you've come to the right place, because today we want to introduce you to an album that is out of this world. Look forward to "Razzmatazz" from I Dont Know How But They Found Me.

I Dont Know How But They Found Me, abbreviated iDKHOWis a band with an interesting background story that began around 2009. The two founding members Dallon Weekes (singer, guitarist/bassist) and Ryan Seaman (drummer) have known each other for half an eternity and have already worked together on various music projects in the past. They came up with the idea of making music together and performing as a duo, but this didn't happen at first. Until the fateful year 2016, both musicians were on the road in various bands, on the one hand in Panic! at the Disco (Dallon as songwriter/ creative mastermind) and on the other hand in Falling In Reverse (Ryan as drummer). But the original idea kept catching up with them and so the two musicians parted company with their bands and formed their own. Out of the routine and into a new, unknown universe full of possibilities and discoveries.

This unknown universe quickly became their home and filled with different styles from pop, disco, alternative rock, punk to techno, influenced by the music culture of the 70s/80s. Their music reminds you of bands like The Cure or David Bowiewho also did their own thing. iDKHOW not only distinguishes itself from its former bands in its sound and appearance, but also in its name. Interestingly, the name of their band is a quote from the movie "Back to the future" and is intentionally written without punctuation or commas, which is especially important for Panic! At The Disco is a trademark. It's difficult to make a name for yourself when you're already known under a different image, but the guys are on the right track. This is particularly evident in the bands they have already performed with: Blink 182, Twenty One Pilots or The Killers.

Now they are publishing with "Razzmatazz" their debut album, building on the success of their last EP "1981 Extended" on. The name can be roughly compared to the German "Ratatatam" and is described as "a conspicuous activity that attracts attention". "Razzmatazz" feels like a trip back in time, when VHS was the newest product on the market and the whole world was in an age of experimentation. It's a versatile and unconventional album that combines the past (70s/80s) with the present. This is supported by an upbeat, dynamic sound that invites you to sing and dance along. With "Razzmatazz" want iDKHOW tell a very specific story to their listeners. It is a themed album that picks up on a band from over 30 years ago that not only missed its breakthrough, but was also forgotten by time. In 2017, found video footage of this band was released in non-chronological order by an anonymous donor, referencing the band's history from 1964 to 1983. This emergence of the unknown footage has prompted fans, conspiracy theorists and music historians to discuss this mystery on internet platforms.

We would never have come up with a story like this in our magazine, but it's a story worth listening to. On October 23rd, this Friday, the long-awaited new album by the band will be available everywhere. If you can't wait that long, we've got just the thing for you:

By loading the video, you accept YouTube's privacy policy.

Load video

Always unlock YouTube

Image source: I Don't Know How But They Found Me

Lila is out, be the beat with you!

If you've always wished for an encounter with the third way or are in the mood for new, unusual music, then you've come to the right place, because today we want to...

[131,265
388,276,269
post-3406","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-i-dont-know-how-but-they-found-me","category-reviews","tag-i-dont-know-how-but-they-found-me","tag-reviews","tag-rock
["GET
