This is exactly the feeling that The Plot In You capture in their new EP Vol. 3 With three fresh tracks, they not only give their fans new material, but also an intensive insight into their musical development. With the first single “Been Here Before”, the band already showed where the journey is heading.

The new EP picks up seamlessly where Vol. 2 ended. Singer Landon Tewers and his bandmates combine influences from pop punk with the characteristically rough, guttural vocals that made them famous. This mixture makes for a fresh sound and demonstrates the versatility of a band that is not afraid to try something new. Landon himself explains:

"This song was the first Plot tune where I took influence from some pop-punk artists, speaking on relationship themes and the push and pull that comes with being with someone through hard times."

The musical journey continues with the track “Pretend”, which combines the fragile, gentle side of the band with dynamic metalcore elements. Here, the band shows one of its strongest facets - emotional and yet powerful.

A real highlight of the EP is “Spare Me”. This song is a welcome, hard break that brings back memories of “Forgotten” from Vol. 1 and will undoubtedly emerge as a crowd favorite live as well. Landon's guttural vocals take up a particularly large amount of space here and create a haunting connection between the band and the audience. The piece is rounded off with a surprising piano passage that lends the whole thing a majestic note and makes the song my personal favorite.

The hope remains that The Plot In You will soon release a complete album - with these new songs and perhaps a few additional surprises. On Vol. 3 the band once again proves its versatility and talent, which makes it stand out from the crowd.

Lila is out, be the beat with you!

It's a familiar feeling: the déjà vu of emotions, the familiar highs and lows of a relationship you've experienced before and holding on to them, even in difficult times.
