Abramis Brama veröffentlichen brandneues Album „Tusen år“
Hey and welcome to Jack's Review!
With 20 years of hard rock on the hump, you can feel rightly as a constant in this scene belonging. However, often the albums of such experienced bands become very monotonous over the years, often sound like the previous one or simply lack verve.
Also the band we want to introduce to you today, celebrates with their current seventh studio album "Tusen år" (which will be released on April 20) your 20th anniversary and even if Abramis Brama with this experience belong to a permanent fixture of hard rock, the listener realizes quite quickly that with the guys is so much different.
Besides Singer Ulf Torkelsson the band is composed of Peo Andersson (Gitarre), Fredrik „Trisse“ Liefendahl (Schlagzeug) and Mats Rydström (bass) together and those who don't know the band will be surprised at the first hearing of "Tusen år" at the beginning, may be a little surprised, because the guys perform in Swedish. However, the riffs of the band are so catchy that you do not notice this fact after a short time. Musically oriented to the basis of the 70s Albramis Brama have with "Tusen år" created an album that will truly take its place on our CD shelf next to bands like Black Sabbath, the early works of Judas Priest and Thin lizzy has earned. For this reason, the disc also receives from us the predicate "100% buttkickn'Hardrock" and thus becomes „Album of the Month – May 2018“.
We are particularly fond of two songs "Hav av lögner" and "Slutet av tunneln". Especially in the latter, the guys build solely on the melodic guitar playing and the voice of singer Ulf Torkelsson an atmosphere that made us feel like we understood what the guys were singing (even though none of us knew a word of Swedish).
Of course we didn't miss the chance to ask the guys some interview questions, which we will publish here in a few days. Unfortunately, there is no fixed date for Germany yet, but as soon as the guys should tour again here in our area, we will of course tell you about it.
At this point "Chapeau" and thank you for such a great disc.
