Our concert report on the

BlattTurbo band night

It's been a long, long time since we attended the last band night. We have experienced the debut of the year live, but due to other concerts, Corona and more, the spring has passed quickly. That this Saturday, the 06th of August was on top of our to-do list, was therefore certain. BlattTurbo has them all. Small and larger band from the underground, which have made a name for themselves here in the area but also artists from abroad, who do not want to be taken away from this family atmosphere. Announced were, this time five bands, especially for punk lovers but also for those who wanted to sniff some newcomer air, had a wide repertoire available. Arrived at the Klosterhof in Stotzheim it went also already, after a short greeting purely, where also Whorehouse Love were already waiting.

The newcomer band from Zülpich was definitely ready for their first official gig. With a mixture of classic rock as well as glam rock, they faced the task as openers with bravura and heated up the, still sluggish, audience. Every centimeter was used, which in turn made songs like "The Game Of Love" gave even more expressiveness. Especially this song has remained in my memory, because the band combines in this influences from the metal with their own sound. With applause, the band said goodbye to the well-deserved break and we also took a little fresh air, before already the Heiopeis announced. Mmh, how can you describe their sound? Well Heiopeis play German rock paired with a summery feeling, which gives swing and party mood.

They definitely had a good mood with them, which they also spread during their performance. Especially with the song "Was für ne geile Nacht", which with its trumpet reminded a bit of bands like Querbeat there was simply no stopping us. In any case, the spectators and we had our fun and Otte liked the band even so much that this was also immortalized directly as a tattoo. On the band evening of BlattTurbo you meet all kinds of people and discover new bands that may later become your favorites. So also The Big Blindwho made the stage shake with their own version of classic metal. Various influences from experimental as well as true metal can be found in their music, which in addition to a strong technical performance also conveyed the necessary feeling to touch.

Between dynamic pieces, which certainly could have made a mad pit with an audience of several hundred, and slow ballads, have The Big Blind only the best out of their repertoire. Before the last band we saw in the evening, it was time for us to get back into the fresh air and chat a bit with the audience. The people are all very warm and you like to exchange musical tastes. You also get to talk to the bands themselves, who enjoy a beer outside with the audience. Band evenings from BlattTurbo are quite an experience in themselves, which is why we encourage you to stop by. You also get to talk to the bands themselves, who enjoy a beer outside with the audience.

Last we were allowed to Manunkind who made the Klosterhof unsafe with their music. They played the finest hardcore punk, which partly included influences from the experimental genre. According to their motto "when all else failed" the trio stood on stage as if it was the last thing they do and put everything into their performance. At the same time, the band does not only play for themselves, but dedicated one of their first songs to all those who have not stopped dreaming, even if you are a little older. Manunkind  have our BlattTurbo band night The experience was duly rounded off, which is why we were already on our way home afterwards. Begbie Boys, the last band, we unfortunately did not see due to a headache, but BlattTurbo already has the appropriate words to the

Performance of the band found: "With Begbie Boys the evening should end perfectly. And how it did so. The Stuttgart beer punk rockers let it rip so properly at a late hour. And on the side again guys, also the song feelings is about beer. The feeling to the beer or the feeling when you are full. Point 😂 No matter - you have demolished the hut. Every glass was empty. A great gig with a great party atmosphere and lots of beer. Thanks"

By the way, this Friday we are at the Trafostation 61-Festivalto support Druckphase, who will be the opener there. There you can also meet the team of BlattTurbo and who knows, maybe we will see each other there? We look forward to seeing you!
