Let The Bad Times Roll Tour with The Offspring and Four Year Strong

Trash Boat

Trash Boat concert review - concert at Mitsubishi Electric Hall Düsseldorf 2023

Hi and welcome to Behind The Noise!

Concerts are not always about the big gestures and moments, but sometimes also about the small moments that create memorable memories. That's what happened to us at the concert of Trash Boat, who performed at the Mitsubishi Electric Hall in Düsseldorf. As part of The Offspring and Four Year Strong's "Let The Bad Times Roll" tour, the band had taken it upon themselves to open the evening and greet the fans loudly. In the concert hall, which was already sold out in advance, the hall filled up quickly and a little bit you got the feeling that it became even more crowded when Trash Boat started to play. Trash Boat, as it already showed on past albums like "Don't You Feel Amazing?" or "Crown Shyness" is a band that plays for their fans.

In their songs they write about experiences from life, about the ups and downs as well as hopes, doubts and self-love. It is a colorful mixture of everything, which is why you can identify well with their songs. Especially live this impression was confirmed and transported the feeling we got listening to the records in our studio directly to the big stage.

Also with their music brought Trash Boat the audience to go along and celebrate. Still a bit sluggish, there were the first headbangers at the song "Bad Entertainment" at the latest. The combination of pop punk and progressive was exactly what was needed to start a successful evening and was delivered by the band. Especially the contrast to bands like The Offspring, who we already saw last year on the Rock am Ring Festival live, made their dynamic, modern sound to

an intense experience. Every single band member seemed to be in the mood for the stage and the audience on this Monday night, the way they partly jumped across the stage and kept egging each other on. Especially with songs like "Given Up", a cover of Linkin Park, Trash Boat was unstoppable and managed within half an hour not only to put on an authentic, rousing performance, but also to get the audience in the mood for the rest of the evening.

Eine Empfehlung von uns, sollten sie nochmal in eurer Nähe spielen! Ansonsten könnt ihr euch bis dahin ihre neueste Single „Delusions of Grandeur“ anhören.

In our BEHIND THE NOISE column we write about everything around the metal & rock scene and take a look behind the spotlights to give you a better insight into the concert. At this concert, too, we were able to collect exciting and new memories, which we will of course not withhold from you. Intense, unconventional and intoxicating. Welcome to the concert!

One show. Endless memories
