No Cure latest EP “I Hope I Die Here” - A love letter in hardcore and steel

On behalf of Asgard, I greet you!

Hi, it's Thor here.

There are those rare albums that come down on us like a thunderclap from the halls of Valhalla - they tear at the soul, ignite the spirit and inevitably drive your fist into the pit of your stomach. “I Hope I Die Here” by No Cure is exactly that. An EP that not only impresses with brutal heaviness, but also with a deep, almost tender devotion to their home state of Alabama - and to everything that makes up this region: the beauty, the contradictions, the scars.

No Cure don't deliver another interchangeable hardcore banger or the thousandth lament about lost love. No, this band brings substance. A fire blazes here that destroys and creates in equal measure. The merciless fusion of hardcore and death metal sounds as if it was born directly from the deepest ravines of a tortured soul. But this chaos is as precise as an Asgardian hammer blow - a controlled inferno that prepares the ground for something new and powerful.

And then there are the guest appearances! Daniel McWhorter (Gideon),Kayhan Vaziri (Blessing, Yautja) and Jesse Clark (Wielded Steel) - they not only adorn this EP, they enrich it like worthy allies in battle. These collaborations speak of a scene that not only burns, but also stands together. It's a sign of how rooted No Cure feel in their community.

The single „Don’t Need Your Help“ stands out in particular and is one of our favorites. What a plank. A furious storm that sweeps you away with its raw energy and unwavering authenticity. The vocals of Jesse Clark and Nick Chance give it even more power. It's a song that not only packs a musical punch, but also carries a message: Here is the Southeast, yes, with all its past. But we are the present, and we are fighting for a better future.

What No Cure have created with „I Hope I Die Here“ is nothing less than a soundtrack to identity, home and strength. Every note tells of pain and pride, every song breathes the history of a region that often goes unrecognized. While others turn their backs on Alabama, No Cure make it their canvas. The EP is a love letter - loud, raw and full of pride.

Sometimes you come across music that doesn't just want to be heard, but felt. No Cure have achieved this with this EP. In the name of Asgard: listen to it, live it, feel it!

Asgard hört euch.
