Bones UK unveil powerful new album “Soft” this Friday
Hi and welcome to Lila's review!
A fresh and unmistakable voice is rising in the rock scene: Bones UK are releasing their new album “Soft” this Friday, which comes with a powerful, uncompromising sound. You won't find any kid gloves here.
The duo, consisting of singer Rosie Bones and guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, present an impressive fusion of rock, punk and electronic elements. The result: raw energy and emotional intensity that captivates from the first to the last minute. Rosie Bones' powerful voice, paired with Carmen Vandenberg's creative, sometimes cutting, sometimes melodic guitar riffs, creates a dynamic soundscape that is both provocative and captivating.
The tracks “Won't Settle” and “Perfectly Imperfect” in particular reflect the band's rebellious attitude and their ability to question social norms. The lyrics are politically charged, provocative and profound at the same time. They talk about self-love and the importance of accepting yourself for who you are. Rosie sums it up herself:
“It’s everything you loved about the first record, turned up. Keeping things scrappy, raw and real, with enough electronic beats to keep our industrial dance-heads happy and enough heartbreakers to keep our romantics listening.”
The album was produced over a period of five years in various locations from London to Texas and other cities. What is particularly impressive is the ability to capture the raw energy of the band without losing clarity and precision. And as if that wasn't enough, fans can look forward to features from rock greats such as Queens of the Stone Age and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Altogether, “Soft” is a powerful album that impressively underlines the versatility and talent of Bones UK . It brims with self-confidence and independence and inevitably draws the listener in with its passionate intensity.
In short: Bones UK deliver a real highlight for the rock world with “Soft” - loud, rebellious and unpolished. Just what we need right now.
