Ahead of the release of the remastered version of Bruce Dickinson's classic 1994 album, now titled "More Balls To Picasso", is that Lyric video for the lead single "Gods Of War" published.

In addition to the topical message and fresh, contemporary production, "Gods Of War" features a unique contribution from Brazilian composer Antonio Teoli in the form of indigenous Amazonian instruments at the beginning of the track. It's a striking foretaste of the reinvented album, bringing to life the rousing, fast-paced and, for its time, ambitious collection of superbly crafted and realized songs.

Following the release, Bruce Dickinson breaks out with his 2024 studio album "The Mandrake Project" and a setlist that spans his entire solo career, for his first extensive solo tour of North America in almost 30 years.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

In 1994, after leaving Iron Maiden for a time (he returned in 1999), Bruce Dickinson released his second solo album "Balls To Picasso": Named in honor of the Cubism pioneer who depicted spherical objects as squares, immortalized on the graffiti-style cover on a tiled bathroom wall, the album, despite its irreverent-sounding title, underscored Dickinson's reputation as a serious solo artist.

As his first album in collaboration with Roy Z, recorded with Z's band Tribe Of Gypsies and produced by Shay Baby, 'Balls To Picasso' went through several versions before its release. The original album featured a number of Dickinson's classics and live favorites, including the singles "Tears Of The Dragon" and "Shoot All The Clowns", as well as the popular epic "Laughing In The Hiding Bush", which was also the original title of the record.

Yet despite the positive reception it received at the time, it never quite lived up to Dickinson's original vision, which was even more expansive in scope and ambition. With the opportunity to resurrect his solo catalog - and in light of the release of Dickinson's highly acclaimed album "The Mandrake Project" in 2024 - the brand new, partially re-recorded, remixed and remastered version of the album, now titled "More Balls To Picasso", becomes a fresh and timely release.

Bruce Dickinson comments: "While mixing my entire catalog in Dolby Atmos, I had a great desire to reinvent the record. So adding more 'balls' to 'Balls ...' was a project of the heart. Of course we beefed up the guitars - with the help of our 'Swedish shredder' Philip Naslund - and we also added some really nice work by Adassi Addasi on 'Tears ...'. Brazilian composer friend Antonio Teoli brought in some stunning orchestral arrangements, and added indigenous instruments from the Amazon (which he recorded himself when he lived there!) as a particularly unique contribution at the beginning of 'Gods Of War'.
'Shoot All The Clowns' is accompanied by a horn section from Berklee College of Music, and the entire record was mixed by Brendan Duffey (who worked on 'The Mandrake Project') - in exchange for Shay Baby, the original father of the album."

In addition, "More Balls To Picasso" contains two previously unreleased live tracks from the studio - "Gods of War" and "Shoot All the Clowns". The album will be available from July 25, 2025 as a splatter vinyl double album and as a CD album with tri-panel digisleeve.
