Ein Donnerschlag des Rock: Crossbone Skullys neues Album “Evil World Machine”

Heute sprechen wir über ein Album, das nicht weniger als eine Hammerschlag auf den Amboss des Rock’n’Roll ist: Crossbone Skullys Debüt “Evil World Machine”. Was Tommy Henriksen und sein Ensemble hier abgeliefert haben, könnte glatt die Playlist von Valhalla rocken – und glaubt mir, das ist ein Ritterschlag! Warum? Lasst mich euch mit epischen Riffs und einem Schuss göttlichem Humor durch die Höhen und Tiefen führen.

The opener and title track “Evil World Machine” catapults you into a world that screams for leather jackets and stadium spotlights with an energetic sound. Henriksen has brought Mutt Lange on board here, and the result sounds as if AC/DC and Def Leppard had forged a Thorshammer together in the studio. The whole thing is complemented by rock legends such as Phil Collen and Nikki Sixx, whose contributions turn songs like “The Boom Went the Boom” into real anthems. Pure stadium rock, friends - there's no better expression.

Was “Evil World Machine” von der Masse abhebt, ist die epische Erzählung. Hier wird nicht nur musiziert, sondern ein ganzes Universum aufgebaut. Crossbone Skully ist nicht nur ein Name, sondern eine mystische Figur, die mit Geschichten von Johnny Depp, Joe Perry und Alice Cooper lebendig wird. Ja, genau, diesen Alice Cooper! Tracks wie „I Am the Wolf“ und „I’m Unbreakable“ verbinden diese Erzählung mit soliden Gitarrensoli und Henriksen’s kraftvoller Stimme – das Ergebnis ist pures Gänsehaut-Feeling.

From glam rock fireworks like “Money Sex or God” to anthemic power moments in “Flip the Bird” - this album has more facets than Odin's axe. Particularly outstanding is “I'm Unbreakable” - the song could easily pass as a national anthem for rock lovers. Henriksen and his team have worked with passion and perfection here, and you can hear that in every single riff and every chorus.

Henriksen beschreibt “Evil World Machine” als Ausdruck seiner Träume und eine Ermutigung, niemals aufzugeben. Und genau das spürt man: Dieses Album ist kein Rückblick, sondern ein Ausblick – eine Liebeserklärung an den klassischen Rock und gleichzeitig eine Kampfansage an die Gegenwart. Ein Album, das auf jeden Fall inspiriert.
