This is Alexisonfire

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

We don't know why but somehow post-hardcore and Canada have a pretty close relationship. In the last weeks we introduced you Silverstein and today Alexisonfire.

The band hails from St. Catharines, Ontario and plays post-hardcore/hardcore with heart and soul. In case anyone thinks that the band name comes from some dork named Alex setting himself on fire, the name Alexisonfire is a tribute to the erotic actress Alexis Fire. The members, originally from three different bands, formed Alexisonfire in 2001.

The guys have toured Europe and Australia with bands like Rise Against. They have also performed at the extreme sports festival Vans Warped Tour and supported Billy Talent and Anti-Flag. They produced four albums so far and the album Crisis even reached number 1 in the Canadian album charts.

We are quite taken with the band and hope you are too (for those who have been too lazy to listen now would be the best time)!
