This is All Time Low
Hey and welcome to Lila's review!
We sat today with music in front of the fireplace and enjoyed a cup of warm cocoa. Here we noticed that we had not yet introduced you to the band whose music just boomed out of the box. Measured by the fact that we hear the band very much with pleasure a strange circumstance.
We would like to make up for this as soon as possible. Here now our review about All Time Low!
Founded in 2003 in Towson, a suburb of Baltimore, the quartet initially limited themselves to covering songs by blink182 in high school. Those who earn their spurs in high school by covering blink182 songs are predicted to have a musical career in the punk genre. Before signing their first record deal with Emerald Moon Records in 2004, the band released their first EP in 2003. Their first album in 2005 ("The Party Scene") was followed by three more albums. The hard work was to pay off after the release of the song "Dear Maria, Count Me In" in the form of a first chart position and gold status awarded for 50,000 sales. More albums followed, such as "Nothing Personal," "Dirty Work" and "Don't Panic." In 2014, the band announced that they were working on a new album in collaboration with producer John Feldmann. The first official presentation of the album "Future Hearts" was in 2015 under BBC Radio 1 with the single "Something`s Gotta Give". This album, my dear Immortals, is so far our favorite of all the albums we have heard from All Time Low.
Touring as a band seems to be fraught with many obstacles, as you have to leave behind things that are dear to you. In 2006 Alex told us in an interview that he had to leave his poor Audi alone at home because he was on tour with his band. We're sure he got over it, because apparently touring is a lot of fun, as you could see in their documentary "Straight To DVD II: Past, Present and Future Hearts".
The crew has been around a lot. They performed at festivals like Reading, Warped Tour or Rock am Ring and also played a few headliner tours.
As with all big children, there is of course a copy of Alice in Wonderland on the shelf in our studio. However, we were surprised to learn that All Time Low have contributed a soundtrack to the album "Almost Alice". This is an album inspired by the book Alice in Wonderland.
That's it for today! One more thing: Don't forget, like us, when you listen to the album, to add a piece of wood every now and then so that the stove doesn't go out.
