„Es wird Zeit“ – Am Limit präsentieren ihr Debut-Album

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

My Immortals - "It's about time". This is not only the title of the new album released on October 9 by At the limit, but also applies to the long-awaited release of the disc by fans of the band. Several times the release of their debut album was postponed, but as the saying goes "good things take time"That's why the guys took their time with the production of their latest work. We have also waited and were now allowed to listen in advance.

First of all, let me tell you about the minds behind "It's about time" stuck. At the limit is a band from Düren consisting of Fabian (Guitar/Singer), Marc (drums) and Dennis (bass), who play finest punk rock in this line-up. Their sound is handmade, blunt and direct, which is also reflected in their lyrics. At the limit doesn't mince words and isn't afraid to put her freedom-loving sound out into the world. You can feel this also on their latest work "It's about time".

"It's about time" is an album that not only builds on the tried and true, but also paves new stylistic directions for the band. Between punk rock, rock as well as blues seem At the limit feel at home and describe life in all its details in a total of twelve songs. From politics, love to freedom, nothing is left out here and presented to their listeners in its entirety. It is a multifaceted album that is not afraid to put a harder tone to the day. Particularly noticeable is the guitar, which is the leitmotif in almost every song on the record and stands out already in the first song. It is the core of their sound, which rounds off the overall concept with its melodies as well as solos.

Our highlight on the record is definitely "White Dove". At the limit speak in this song about farewell, letting go, when someone you loved is gone. Especially touching is the passage "One day we will meet again, stand together again when white doves fly". and attains through the rough voice of singer Fabian a strong emphasis. For the next record I would like to hear more songs in this style from the guys, because in my opinion, these fit them best.

At the limit is a band that still has a long way to go, but always gets the best out of their sound. With "It's about time" they make another step in the right direction and we really hope to hear more from them soon. I definitely recommend you to take a listen and get your own impression of the new record. My Immortals, save the date - October 9th!

Lila is out, be the beat with you!
