Euroblast Festival

My Immortals.. Welcome to BEHIND THE NOISE!

My Immortals, this weekend was the Euroblast Festival which we have been looking forward to for a few days. With cameras, interview questions and a lot of good humor we started our adventure on 29.09.....
After our studio had fought its way through the Cologne traffic jungle, we arrived a bit exhausted and at the same time proud at the Essigfabrik, where we were already kindly welcomed by the Euroblast Family were received. Already when entering the festival area we noticed the abundant collected pictures at the entrance, which visitors with Euroblast Festival ribbon showed. After a short "check-in" we already went into the first hall....

With a powerful hall offers Euroblast enough space for every pog and stage divin happy metalhead as well as for those who just want to sit down and listen to the bands. Due to the short distance between the stage and the audience, there is a living room-like atmosphere during the concerts on the Main Stage, which we have not experienced so far at other festivals. On the left and right side is a bar at whose counters people from the Euroblast Family Serve drinks to the various visitors. In the middle of all the hustle and bustle stands large and wide the work center of the technical team, which takes care of the lighting, sound and much more. Although the festival visitors have already been creative on the walls of the toilets, the individual toilets are clean.

To enjoy the full festival experience, you can't avoid to start an exploration tour through the festival area. On our tour we were astonished when we noticed that the Euroblast is quite well equipped with merchandise, food carts and clearly guitar-loving booths, whereby a skillful distraction could be found for the one or other concert break. Otherwise, of course, there was also the opportunity to simply leave all the hustle and bustle behind and relax in the "chill lounge" behind the booths. The Euroblast Festival is well attended by people from all over the world, who mostly immortalized themselves on the world map, which was stretched over a trailer, with whom you quickly got into conversation about music, bands or the most banal things. But you could not only meet the most diverse festival visitors at the festival, but also the

individual bands, with whom one could very quickly enter into conversation. Our first visit to the Side Stage determined to start with a cool drink and with a lot of zest for good music, we strode down the aisle to the Side Stageto find ourselves in a cellar at first. Once inside, loud sounds of a guitar hit us in the face and our eyes had to get used to the upcoming darkness. As always, our cameraman rushed directly into the hustle and bustle, which piled up in front of a small stage and although everything seemed very tight and small, the atmosphere in this little room was just awesome. Energetic performances like from Atlin or A Kew's day were the order of the day there, which of course prompted us to stop by a bit more often than planned.

Euroblast had not only thought of the small bar that was in the basement, but also a few seating options. So you could just sit down in a corner, close your eyes and let the music wash over you. Euroblast thought of everything from start to finish: every night there was a small event after all the concerts, ranging from various band performances to a jam session, and it was always worth staying there until the morning. Conclusion: My Immortals, Euroblast is a festival with hammer music and a really good location. Everyone who arrives gets a friendly welcome and you can quickly socialize with other people from all over the world. Furthermore, this small festival really makes something, as they say "small but nice". Give yourselves a jerk and look next year!

In our BEHIND THE NOISE column we write about everything around the metal & rock scene and take a look behind the spotlights to give you a better insight into the concert. At this concert, too, we were able to collect exciting and new memories, which we will of course not withhold from you. Intense, unconventional and intoxicating. Welcome to the concert!
