Himitzu's new single "Treat Me Bad (Like I'm One's Daughter) - Between inner chaos and honest alternative rock
Hi and welcome to Lila's news!
Pressure from outside - sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, often unpredictable. Sometimes it simmers beneath the surface for a long time, sometimes it suddenly erupts. When this inner chaos gives rise to music that moves, then anger becomes art. And that's exactly what Himitzu deliver with their new single "Treat Me Bad (Like I'm One's Daughter)": a powerful statement between self-doubt and self-assertion - and another foretaste of their upcoming album "Exhale The Past // Inhale The Future", which is due to be released in January 2026.
The newcomers from Germany focus on raw emotions, on energy instead of perfection. Himitzu are a band on the move - loud, honest and uncompromising. Their songs revolve around self-destruction and self-discovery, the scars of the past and hope for better days. They combine alternative rock elements with catchy pop structures without ever seeming arbitrary. Listening to them, you quickly sense that this band means business. And they have something to say.
Their new single also shows exactly that: Himitzu don't hide. "Treat Me Bad" is a song about losing control, about the futile attempt to be someone else - about failing to meet expectations that come from outside and the moment of realization that this pressure can become too much. The track builds up like a storm, discharges in a haunting chorus and stays in your head for a long time.
Himitzu are authentic. And that's exactly what makes them so exciting. They want to be heard - and provide the soundtrack for anyone who feels lost between worlds.
If you want to see the band live, you have several opportunities this summer:
27.06.2025 - Bremen, HOEG
12.07.2025 - Bonn, NatFak summer party
12.09.2025 - Flensburg, Breeding Festival
