Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

A long time had to wait, now it has finally paid off: Tomorrow release Love and Death release their brand new album "Perfectly Preserved" and let us look forward to a long-awaited, exciting release, where we can already tell you that you will not be able to get past this band in the future:

Love and Death was created as a solo project by the former guitarist of the band Grain, Brian WelchThe band is active in the genres of Alternative Metal, Nu Metal and Christian Metal. For almost a decade exist Love and Death already, but after an EP as well as an album they didn't deliver any further material due to other projects that had priority for the frontman. Now exactly these projects are on ice because of the pandemic, which is why Brian finally settle on Love and Death could focus. With a new work also the constellation of the band changes: Consisting of bassist Jasen smoke (Breaking Benjamin), singer as well as guitarist Brian Welch "Head" (ex-Grain), drummer Isaiah Perez and guitarist / singer JR Bareis, shows Love and Death the necessary potential to play at the top.

"Perfectly Preserved" is an album that describes the ups and downs of our existence and provides the appropriate soundtrack. Honestly speak Love and Death about one's own health, fears, doubts as well as challenges in relationships, all topics that have occupied or will occupy us all at one time or another. It feels like a journey through one's own emotional world and combines the pure chaos within oneself with total order. With hard, melodic guitar riffs as well as a gloomy, almost crushing sound accompany you Love and Death on this journey and surprise you from song to song again and again. Especially their perfectionism stands out, because every detail in this album is coordinated, be it the transition to the individual tracks or the atmosphere in songs like "Death Of Us". Also, trying out new ideas or styles is no obstacle for the band, which is especially evident through their cover of Justin Biebers "Let Me Love You" Hit together with Lacey Storm can be recognized. Of course, some comparisons can be made to Grain and Breaking Benjamin However, the band convinces in its very own way, so that we can only recommend you to listen to it and convince yourself of their sound.

Which tells to the album: "Everybody knows my foundation. I feel like what our world needs most in this very unique moment in time are real stories about overcoming struggle. These are honest songs co-written by our group of friends targeting depression/mental health, challenging relationships, trauma, loneliness, and related issues."

"Perfectly Preserved" is definitely a disc worth listening to and should not be missed by you. We definitely listen to it up and down.
