Seventh Sun Tour

Make Them Suffer, Bury Tomorrow, As Everything Unfolds und Thornhill auf Seventh Sun Tour durch Europa - Konzertbericht zu Köln

On behalf of Asgard I greet you, hi this is Thor - What an epic night at the Palladium that was!

As I pushed my way through the crowd gathered in front of the Palladium, I knew immediately that this evening was going to be extraordinary. The smell of beer, sweat and adrenaline was in the air - and yes, perhaps a little of the anticipation of the powerful sounds that were about to blow us away. The security was friendly, the crowd full of energy and a little drunk, but all in a controlled chaos that can only be typical of a metal concert.

The atmosphere was buzzing when the first sounds came out of the speakers and the crowd collectively started to move. Let me tell you: it was an evening that every metalhead will feel in their bones for a long time to come.

The first act of the evening, As Everything Unfolds, kicked off with a tremendous stage presence. Singer Charlie moved across the stage like a goddess, always interacting with the crowd, who immediately responded to her “circle pit” requests. Her vocals were a mix of clear melodies and powerful screams - a clear message to the audience: “This is not about quietly waiting, this is about pure, raw energy!”

The dynamic between the singer and the fans was remarkable - a constant give and take that took the crowd by storm. It was like a mental battle of sorts, with each song penetrating deeper into the soul and firing up the audience further. There was no question that the crowd was into it, and the constant movement on stage showed that no one could keep still here.

After a short breather, it was time for Thornhill, and the band showed us how it's done. Singer Jack, along with the band, flooded us with aggressive but incredibly precise riffs that literally drove the crowd into the ground. It was a mixture of angry vocals and powerful guitars that filled the room with pure energy.

Interaction with the audience was also an essential part of Thornhill's performance. The singer addressed the audience directly and encouraged them to “circle pits” - the crowd naturally responded, and it was hard to tell who was the driving force here: the band or the audience itself? The walls of the Palladium seemed to vibrate as the band fought their way through the set with total dedication. A scene from a metal Viking epic, where every riff was a sword stroke and every beat a thunderclap.

But it was Make Them Suffer who took the concert to the next level. The start was epic: with the live broadcast of their new music video for the song “Ghost of Me”, they immediately caught everyone's attention. What followed was a storm of chaos and passion. Vocalist Alex and singer Sean growled and screamed their hearts out, while Nick (guitar), Jaya (bass) and Jordan (drums) worked their instruments with a force that turned the Palladium into a seething volcano.

The real madness began when the crowd started crowdsurfing, driven by the intense riffs and gripping vocals. The security guards had their hands full getting the “surfers” off the stage, which was a clear sign of the immense energy buzzing through the air during the set.

Make Them Suffer know how to get the crowd going wild. The constant calls for “circle pits” and the interplay of extreme vocals and heavy guitar riffs almost pushed the masses to their limits. But this controlled madness seemed to inspire the audience even more - a true metal festival in which every song reached a new level of ecstasy. The finale with “Doomswitch” was the crowning glory of the whole thing. It was as if thunder shook the ground beneath our feet and the crowd cheered as if the final “blow” of the war of the gods had fallen.

Last but not least, Bury Tomorrow took to the stage and it was immediately clear that this band would bring the evening to a successful conclusion. Right from the first song, the audience's reactions were obvious - the fans knew every lyric, every melody and every riff was sung along to fervently.

Singer Jason's melodic vocals perfectly complimented Daniel's rougher, screaming vocals and gave the band a unique versatility. But it was the whole performance that made the evening so memorable. The guitarists spun in circles, the bassist jumped around the stage like a berserker and the drummer pounded his drums with such force that you could almost believe Asgard itself was going up in flames.

The crowd was unstoppable - crowdsurfing, pogoing, everything was there. The singer asked the fans to pull out their cell phones and wave the lights back and forth. It was as if the entire room was bathed in a huge lightning storm. And the audience? They screamed, they went wild, they lived the music as if it were the last day on Midgard.

And so the evening ended, but the impressions will remain unforgotten. It was a concert that brought the metal spirit to life in all its facets - a perfect blend of intensity, energy and connection. As Everything Unfolds, Thornhill, Make Them Suffer and Bury Tomorrow - each band brought their own unique sound and their own unmistakable energy to the stage.

On behalf of Asgard, all I can say is that if you ever have the chance to witness an event like this, don't miss it. The connection between artists and audience was so strong that it felt like an epic god of war on stage - the crowd of warriors responding to the music and growing stronger with each song.

That's it from me, “Asgard listens to you!
