Creature Tour mit The Devil Wears Prada, Landmvrks, Guilt Trip und Like Moths To Flames in der Essigfabrik, Köln

Hi and welcome to Behind The Noise!

Today we report on an unforgettable evening of the Creature Tour, which took place at the Essigfabrik in Cologne. The bands rocked the stage on two consecutive evenings, and we were there on the first day to witness the explosive performances of Guilt Trip, Like Moths To Flames, The Devil Wears Prada and Landmvrks.

Right at the beginning, Guilt Trip entered the stage with a loud bang. The band literally stormed off and presented a dynamic hardcore punk sound that integrated hip-hop elements with ease. The first mosh pit of the evening started right at the beginning. Singer Jay repeatedly asked the audience to "mosh pits" and "circle pits", and these requests were enthusiastically accepted. The energy was palpable right from the start and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The heated atmosphere continued and intensified during Like Moths To Flames. It was already obvious during their performance that the band would not do things by halves. Singer Chris made it quite clear right at the beginning: "When I say jump, you jump", which the audience repeated loudly. They kicked off with the song "The Preservation of Hate" from their album "Pure Like Porcelain" and got the crowd sweating. The band not only picked up on the energy of Guilt Trip, but went one better. Chris even helped the stage divers onto the stage as an unofficial security guard - a gesture that emphasized the warm atmosphere. The set ended with songs like "Bury Your Pain", which made for a familiar yet intense concert.

Our absolute highlight of the evening and one of the reasons why we had come was The Devil Wears Prada, who fired up the audience during the break with a mixture of 90s and 2000s pop songs. With a clear message to get your dancing shoes out, the party began in hardcore style. The first instructions of the evening were given over the intro, and the band took to the stage with fist bumps, ready to party. Their performance was a real participatory affair, with no one able to stand still. Songs like "Salt" were sung along like anthems, and "Broken", the chosen stage diver song, was moshed heavily.

An unforgettable moment was when singer Jeremy took a break and got a beer at the bar, letting himself be carried by the crowd. Meanwhile, fellow singer Mike took over the show, supported by Juan Pardo, who also made the stage shake. Their brilliant set ended with "Chemical" and "Sacrifice".

The last band of the evening, Landmvrks, was announced by Mike from The Devil Wears Prada with the words: "Landmvrks is coming to kick some ass". The group delivered and pushed the audience, who were already sweating, to the limit once again. With a capital V in the background to match their spelling and their new album, which will be released soon, they kicked off with the single "Creature". The crowd sang along enthusiastically, and the combination of French rap and metal vocals was impressive. The performance of "Death" was particularly intense, with the audience taking turns with the band to shout "everyday i feel like... death", creating a tremendous dynamic.

One of the special moments of the evening was the celebration of a crew member's birthday, which was honored with a cake and a serenade from the crowd.

With the same volume with which Landmvrks had started, they said goodbye and prepared for the second day of the tour. We enjoyed the concert immensely and hope to see these bands again soon!

The first day of the Creature Tour at the Essigfabrik in Cologne was a complete success. While all the bands delivered an impressive show, The Devil Wears Prada also made a strong impression. Their energetic performance, the interaction with the audience and the unforgettable moments, such as the stage dive of singer Jeremy, made this evening something very special. We are already looking forward to seeing The Devil Wears Prada and the other bands live again soon and are excited to see what else we will hear from them in the future.
