TONS OF ROCK: The Norwegian festival near Oslo announces more headliners

Muse, Avenged Sevenfold, Megadeth, Machine Head, Dream Theater,Sex Pistols, Weezer, Turbonegro
and many more confirmed for TONS OF ROCK 2025!

TONS OF ROCK Festival (NO), the Norwegian festival just outside Oslo, has just announced a great mix of 22 top-class bands and artists, consisting of absolute legends and icons of the industry.

This year's lineup is led by four headliners who have never played at the festival before:
British legends MUSE, known for their magnificent live performances and backed by massive demand from fans worldwide, will be making one of their selected festival appearances at Tons Of Rock in 2025.

One of the bands most requested by the audience is the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. With hundreds of millions of streams and over 10 million albums sold, they will be headlining Tons of Rock on Saturday, June 28.

Never before has the festival announced so many big-name acts in a single day. Metal legend Dave Mustaine will be taking a short break from studio work to perform an exclusive summer concert with Megadeth at Tons of Rock.

Machine Head, headliners of the world's biggest metal festivals such as Hellfest and the Wacken Open Air, will be making their debut at Tons of Rock.

Also confirmed are Dream Theater, who recently sold out Spektrum in Oslo, and Weezer, a band that inspires across genre boundaries. Norway's ultimate punk rock band Turbonegro is finally back with the only concert in Norway that will gather the entire Turbu youth from all over the world in Oslo. As if all that wasn't enough, the Sex Pistols will deliver a set of their greatest punk hits, led by Frank Carter, who is guaranteed to write a show for the history books.

TONS OF ROCK is Norway's biggest festival right in the city center of the capital Oslo. The festival is easily accessible by public transport and on foot from the city center and offers a picturesque view of the entire city from its hilltop location. In 2024, the sold-out festival had over 150,000 visitors from 80 countries. For the first edition of TONS OF ROCK, which was still held in Halden in south-eastern Norway at the time, the organizers were able to attract metal greats such as VOLBEAT, SLAYER and W.A.S.P. In 2019, the festival moved to Oslo, where IRON MAIDEN, KISS and GUNS N' ROSES, among others, have performed since then. In 2024, TONS OF ROCK celebrated its 10th anniversary with METALLICA, TOOL, JUDAS PRIEST, ZZ TOP and PARKWAY DRIVE, among others.
