Greg Rekus on tour in Europe - folk punk with heart, sweat and attitude

Hi and welcome to Lila's news!

Canadian folk-punk veteran Greg Rekus is on the road again - and not just anywhere, but right across Europe. With his unmistakable blend of raw punk spirit, honest songwriting and a sound that comes straight from the heart, he is taking his music exactly where it belongs: to the stages of small, sweaty clubs and DIY venues.

Rekus, known for his energetic solo performances that pack more of a punch than many a four-man band, kicked off his current tour in Italy yesterday. Anyone who knows him knows that there are no nets or false bottoms at his shows - just honest music, plenty of passion and a good dose of punk attitude.

The man has collected tour miles like other people collect bonus points at the bakery. As he says himself:

“If you include all the times I’ve toured with my old punk band, High Five Drive, this is Europe trip number 14! I love it here!”

Fourteen times through Europe? Not many people manage that - and that speaks volumes. Rekus is a true road warrior, tearing up stage after stage and leaving behind a growing fan base throughout Europe.
