Greg Rekus releases new album "Sibling Cities

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

Have any of you heard of Winnipeg? At least we haven't, but this place is home to a truly unique artist. The talk is of Greg Rekuswho only recently published his latest work "Sibling Cities. has released. It's not so long ago that we reported on his upcoming European tour and now we were able to enjoy his new album, which you shouldn't miss.

On the folk punk heavy disc are pressed thirteen tracks that will give every punk fan a lot of pleasure. The somewhat raw and "unpolished" sound of "Sibling Cities. profits beside very good, both fast and slow guitar riffs especially from Greg's awesome voice.

Our absolute highlight is track seven of the album - "Stick Around". Rhythmically good with a catchy melody, the song has real earworm potential. Especially the first lines "Stick Around she said. It's not like someone forces you to hang around..." went directly into the ear and have haunted us for days. A really great track that gets an absolute "listening recommendation" from us!

If you don't want to miss Greg live will be surprised when he sees him live, because only with a guitar and a stomp box standing on the floor creates a sound of which one assumes it would be a complete band on stage. Greg Rekus is already a special live experience, which is definitely worth watching.

With this work Greg definitely got a place in our 2018 playlist and we will of course keep you up to date about this exceptional talent. Therefore, the disc gets an absolute buy recommendation from us.
