Atlas Genius announce their return with long-awaited new track "Elegant Strangers

With "Elegant Strangers", Atlas Genius release their first new song in over three years today - It's the first release from the critically acclaimed band from Adelaide, Australia via Better Noise Music. In terms of sound, the track is a natural progression of their unmistakable sound, with which they had their breakthrough in 2011 and which they made famous with their hit "Trojans" led to success. "Elegant Strangers" was created in collaboration between Atlas Genius singer Keith Jeffreythe acclaimed producer Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Washed Out, Bombay Bicycle Club) and singer/songwriter Sam Endicott (The Bravery, Shakira). The song is now available everywhere available.

In a joint statement, the band comments: "This is a song about finding the escape door. A person who finally sees the beauty and optimism she has always wanted in her life and never wants this moment to end.”

In the last ten years Atlas Genius have proven that their ability to create catchy yet meaningful songs is no coincidence. They have generated almost 300 million streams globally to date, have been part of the line-up on sold-out arena tours (along with artists such as Imagine Dragons, Weezer, Silversun Pickups, Panic! At the Disco, Passion Pit, The Neighborhood and others) and have been invited to appear on US TV shows such as The Tonight Show, The Late Late Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live invited. Now the band, consisting of the three brothers: singer/guitarist Keith Jeffery, drummer Michael Jeffery, Synth/Keyboarder Steven Jeffery and her longtime friend and guitarist Dave Green are finally back - and with a stronger artistic self-image than ever before! Following the release of their highly acclaimed studio album "Inanimate Objects" (2015) attempted to Atlas Geniusto do what was expected of them. "In the last five years alone, a lot has happened in California itself," Keith comments. "There's always something to do, always a new distraction. When we started the band, we had no idea what we were doing. That was part of our strength. But in L.A., you become way too aware of how everything is done. You see behind the scenes of the music industry." So they went Atlas Genius back to Australia to shut out everything around them - except for the music bubbling in their heads. They eventually found their way back to their roots in the studio they had built with their father to begin work on a new studio album. The result is a collection of complex and refreshingly new songs, scheduled for release over the coming months, and the "Elegant Strangers" offers a first taste.

The band was recently announced as part of the line up for Firefly and Bottlerock Festival 2021. For more information on tickets click here: atlasgenius.com
