August Burns Red, formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 2003, is a us metalcore band. There are many stories about their band name, which they have often been asked about. One tells of the singer's high school sweetheart named August, who is said to have set his dog Redd on fire after they broke up. The band later corrected that this was just a joke.
