Avenged Sevenfold release new album "The Stage" right after spectacular livestream event
With a spectacular live event in the night from Thursday to Friday, Avenged Sevenfold thrilled fans around the globe! On Facebook and in 3D 360 (www.avengedsevenfold.com) the band from California rocked via livestream directly from the roof of the Capitol Records building and let the concert be followed by the next highlight: Directly afterwards, Avenged Sevenfold released their new, seventh studio album "The Stage". "The Stage" is available now! This makes Avenged Sevenfold the first rock band ever to release a new album as download and on CD without prior notice!
After vocalist M. Shadows, guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman released the first single, the title track "The Stage" a few days ago, the excitement among the fans was rising when there would be more new material from the band. The Video to "The Stage" was viewed over 6 million times in a short time on YouTube alone. Now the live show from Los Angeles caused a sensation during the night. The surprise release of the album was preceded by months of preparation for the event. Rumors about the new album were fueled, among other things, with nightly, short logo projections around the globe: In Paris , Sydney , London , Japan and Berlin "appeared" to fans the band logo and caused a stir.
The new album "The Stage" follows Avenged Sevenfold's "Hail To The King", which sold around 1.6 million copies and reached the top of the charts not only at No. #1 in the US but also in the UK, Canada, Ireland and Finland. In this country the album stormed the Top 5. Now Avenged Sevenfold present their new work. "The Stage" was jointly produced by the band and Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool). The theme of the 11 tracks is "Artificial Intelligence" and was inspired by the lyrics of Carl Sagan and Elon Musk. With their first concept album, Avenged Sevenfold tell their vision - negative and positive - of the ever-increasing use of artificial intelligence and what this means for the future.
