Bad Wolves and their album "Disobey

"Let's Go....."! and welcome to Lila's review!

Today we would like to introduce you to the debut album of a fairly young but already very successful band with 54 million views on YouTube. We are talking about Bad Wolves - fresh "imported" from the land of unlimited possibilities that "Disobey" have produced an awesome debut. Our studio had the chance to listen to the record in advance (thanks, Peter!) and is.... thrilled. But read for yourself!

Freshly launched on the market Bad Wolves as a band that, if they continue like this, will be an integral part of the metal scene in the future. Their self-described "heavy-slightly prog rock that tunes low and cuts off most of the fat" sound is truly impressive and quickly sticks in your head. Despite the fact that the five guys have only been playing together in this constellation since 2017, the band members are by no means new to the scene. All of the band members have already Bad Wolves has played in various bands: On drums John Boecklin (Ex - Devildriver), operates one of the guitars Doc Coyle (Ex - God Forbid), Tommy Vext stands at the microphone (Divine Heresy), followed by Kyle Konkiel on bass (Ex - In This Moment) and at least Chris Cain on the guitar (Bury Your Dead). But if you think that's all there is to it, then you're very much mistaken. To complete the project, there is also Manager Zoltan Bathory (guitarist) Founder of Five Finger Death Punch and the strong Eleven Seven Music Label added.

Now, on May 11, the boys will release their debut album "Disobey" release. The 13-track album is truly an addictive record, and we were thrilled the first time we listened to it. "Disobey" is track after track of pure metal characterized by intense guitar riffs and yet a very melodic sound, the almost tangible atmosphere that builds up from the first song and continues until the last track. "Toast To The Ghost" has convinced us completely.

Especially the track "Zombie"which the boys have interpreted in a really original way, is a real catchy tune. The song, which actually features the late singer Dolores O'Riordans from The Cranberries was finally re-recorded as a tribute to the artist by Bad Wolves and has now appeared as song number 4 on the new thing. "Zombie" hits the nerve of the times, just as it did 25 years ago, and is still widely listened to by a broad mass of people, regardless of genre. The number of clicks on YouTube for "Zombie" from Bad Wolves and has a proud 54 million views to date... Chapeau!

Yes, our absolute highlight on "Disobey" is definitely "Better The Devil". The slightly psychedelic sound of the track shows a broad repertoire of hard sounds and fast guitar riffs on top of which the whole thing is rounded off by Tommy's rounded off by a rough voice. All these factors blend into a very harmonious sound, which finally explodes into a huge firework in the chorus. All in all, a great song that you should definitely listen to live.

The guys from Bad Wolves are still on the road in America until September and are touring with Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown. As soon as the band is on tour in our country, we will let you know early enough 😉

We are definitely excited about the new album and are really looking forward to it "Disobey" will soon have a place on our CD shelf - we will definitely give the record the rating "Recommended purchase".
