BRKN LOVE deliver a masterpiece with “The Program” - release this Friday
Hi and welcome to Lila's review!
The new generation of rock has long had its own heroes - and BRKN LOVE are undisputedly among them. With their latest album “The Program”, which will be released on March 28, the band underpins their status as one of the most exciting formations on the modern rock scene. One thing can already be said with certainty: this album pushes the boundaries of good and evil.
With twelve energetic tracks, the band presents a work that not only fits effortlessly into the ranks of outstanding albums, but also more than deserves the title “Album of the Month”. BRKN LOVE captivate with their unique sound - a perfect symbiosis of modern rock and the unpolished rawness that made the genre so powerful in its early days. This explosive mix has already earned them over 392,000 monthly listeners on Spotify - and counting.
The opener "20/20 Vision“ already makes a strong statement and loses none of its intensity even after repeated listens. With remarkable precision and perfection, the band strings together anthem after anthem without leaving a single weak song behind. The biggest challenge for the listener? Deciding which song is the most inspiring.
BRKN LOVE manage to wrap raw, honest emotions in flawless compositions, so that each track flows seamlessly into the next - as if the band were telling a stirring story. A story of loss, love and inner demons that unfolds through frontman Justin's yearning vocals, melodic guitar playing and driving drums. Recurring motifs and powerful rhythms reinforce this narrative character and draw the listener deeper and deeper into the spell of the music.
Frontman Justin reveals about the process of creating the album: „I didn’t have anything else to do, so I brought all of my gear and studio equipment. I was so inspired by the environment and the friends I made. It’s a big city, but it’s not huge. It’s just beautiful though. The experience inspired the whole record. Instead of being so picturesque and metaphorical, I told stories.“
And it is precisely these stories that make “The Program” so special. BRKN LOVE deliver an album that is melodic and full of energy in equal measure and impressively prove that rock is far from over. Let's hope that this outstanding album is followed by an equally rousing tour - ideally with a stop in Germany.
