Marks celebrates the release of the EP in a statement saying, "I love sharing my music with the world in many forms. This EP embodies a certain sentiment, a tribute to the city of Nashville - the capital of country music - that will always have an influence on my art. And I'm especially honored to sing one of my favorite songs by my favorite artist, Merle Haggard. "If I Could Only Fly" is one of many beautiful songs by Merle. The song has a special meaning to me because it reminds me of my grandmother Maisie and my dad Al. My grandma heard this song and thought of my dad after he passed away. And now that they are both in heaven together, this is like a love letter to her and for her. I'm sure Merle will let them know when the song is out!"

Marks also recently announced that he will be joining "Blame It on the Double" collaborator Tyler Conolly and the rest of Theory of a Deadman on their upcoming US tour in September 2021. Tickets and show dates are available here: http://www.corymarks.com/
