This is Avenged Sevenfold
Heya my Immortals and welcome to Lila's review!
As usual, the first thing I do is turn on the mood-matching playlist before I start the usual morning rituals. Although the guys from Avenged Sevenfold almost daily wake up, I noticed with horror that we have not yet introduced the band to you. In order to iron out this, admittedly, grievance as quickly as possible, before someone notices, here is today's review of "Avenged Sevenfold"!
After a quotation from the 1st book of Moses "Therefore everyone who slays Cain shall suffer sevenfold vengeance" the guys, who are actually (according to their own statement) not exactly religious, gave themselves their name. Avenged Sevenfold or also abbreviated A7X is originally from Huntington Beach and has been celebrating metal for almost two decades now. They produced their first album at a young age, just 18 years old, but it was not released until 2002. Hopless Revords was released. The first album of the guys was so well received in the scene that the success of the next albums was virtually pre-programmed. Albums like "City of Evil" or "Avenged Sevenfold" cleared in full length and were awarded with gold or platinum. The album "City of Evil" sold over 1,500,000 copies in the U.S. and even more than 2,500,000 copies worldwide.
In 2009, the band suffered a heavy blow when "The Rev" passed away on December 28. His funeral was attended by band members and family, as well as greats like Matt Tuck, Vinnie Paul and members of Backcherry and My Chemical Romance. The subsequent album "Nightmares" was dedicated to him and some tracks were recorded by him.
This was followed by other albums like "Hail to the King" or the album released last year "The Stage".
A7X already played at events like Rock am Ring, Rock am Park as well as the Warped Tour.
I'm going to have breakfast now.
