Escape The Fate surprise with new album "Chemical Warfare" and make a statement with it

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

"Throw away everything you think you know about this band. CHEMICAL WARFARE is a new beginning for us. With these words lead metalcore giants Escape The Fate the beginning of a new era and open it with the release of their upcoming work "Chemical Warfare".

For all those who Escape The Fate should not know...

Escape The Fate is a band that can look back on a long history. Beginning in 2004 on the platform MySpace, founded Ronnie Radke, Max Green, Robert Ortiz, Bryan Money and Omar Espinosa the combo Escape The Fate. Of the original founding members is today only Robert left on the drums. Their career was marked by various scandals early on, especially by founding member Ronnie Radkewhich, however, subsided after a change of band members. Escape The Fate is and has always been a constant in metalcore, which today has two million monthly listeners on streaming platforms and has already achieved several chart positions with its albums. Following the success of recent years, the band wants to take a different direction and develop their sound further. The result is their brand new record which will be released this Friday, April 16.

With their album "Chemical Warfare" shows Escape The Fate from a completely new side, whose changes will certainly be discussed controversially by one or the other die-hard fan. Oriented to their roots, they mix Escape The Fate classic metalcore with modern pop as well as electro influences to a sound that picks up the usual perfections as well as clarity in their music while setting new standards in the band's sound. It's authentic, melodic and a bit nostalgic, as if the band is looking back at their past and saying goodbye to it. Escape The Fate beats with "Chemical Warfare" takes a more mature tone and can convince with both hard and quiet passages. With this album, the band wants to invite their fans as well as listeners to forget themselves for a moment, let go and lose themselves in their music. It should inspire others to be brave and face the challenges of life, because that is exactly what music has also given the band: A place of refuge. Mabbit, singer of the band, tells about it:

I started doing it because music was my 'escape'. I ran away from unsolved problems or chased things away with a bottle. But the music was always there for me. The whole experience of making CHEMICAL WARFARE while reflecting on the other records; it was beautiful to really look at the power of music. It is an escape for so many people and it brought me back down to earth. I'm so grateful, not only that I'm still alive, but that I can extract this music from my head and hopefully it will help a lot of other people."

The new disc offers a wide range of different sounds with eleven songs, which will surely please one or the other of you. We couldn't really decide which song we like best, so we always listen to the record up and down. However, if you are in the mood for a real pick-me-up, to which you like to sing along loudly, then we can only offer you "Demons" or recommend the almost hymn-like song "Invincible" with exception artist Lindsey Stirling. For the quiet, melancholic tones we recommend you "My Gravity" or "Walk On"both of which provide goosebump moments.

We have "Chemical Warfare" felt as a disc that not only marks the beginning of a new chapter in the band's history, but also makes a statement with this and stands by this change. A successful record that fans of the band or even The Used or Skillet Enthusiasts will be pleased.
