Fire From The Gods releases brand new album "American Sun" + video!

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

2019 - a year filled with ups and downs, with many artists, bands and eventful concerts. The last days of the old year fly by and we are also excited about what the new year will bring. But before it is so far, we want to suggest you one or the other album, which may also be missing in your CD shelf in the new year. My Immortals, look forward to "American Sun" from Fire From The Gods.

Formed in 2010, the five-piece band hails from far-flung Austin, Texas. The guys met at a local band contest in their home state and since then have been playing a sound that they describe as "the best of the best". "blending hip-hop, metal and hardcore". In their style they incorporate various elements of hip-hop, rock and rap and create a very diverse, modern sound, which they have already proven in an album and two EPs. Now follows with "American Sun", under Eleven Seven Music, their second album.

With "American Sun" the band writes down another chapter in their history. In a total of thirteen songs, the guys pack their emotions and experiences of recent years and share these very personal insights with their fans. Fire From The Gods speaks in their latest work about self-reflection, exclusion and about taking responsibility for one's actions. Especially the guys want to show their fans that you should stay true to yourself and not let it get you down. "American Sun" is diverse, loud and dynamic. About the album itself, singer Channer tells:

"With this record what we're trying to drive home is that our differences and where we are from doesn't need to define who we are moving forward. I'm telling the story from my perspective, but it's a story that people from all walks of life can relate to in the sense that we all face the same challenges... and the only way to conquer them is if we face them together."

Within two months, the new disc of Erik Ron (Godsmack, Issues) recorded, produced and then mixed. The band took a lot of time for the songwriting but also for the instrumentation as well as the arrangement to grind the new disc bit by bit. Also for their song "They Don't Like It"which they wrote down almost in one day, they took the time to Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D. to include.

"American Sun" we have perceived as an album that, through its many facets, always brings new surprises and has thrilled us with every listen so far. Our "Album of the Month" for the month of December. Listen in, buy it, it's worth it!

For the perfect introduction to their new disc, here's their eponymous song "American Sun":
