Ice Nine Kills is a band that formed nearly twenty years ago from high school friends Jeremy and Spencer was founded. Originating in Boston, Massachusetts, the former ska-punk band developed into a permanent fixture in the metalcore and melodic hardcore scene. The special thing about their sound are the various influences from the horror genre, which they incorporate into their music but also music videos, such as their song "Savage" inspired by the film "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre." In all these years the band went through many ups and downs, which can also be seen in their changing line-up. Today consists Ice Nine Kills From singer Spencer Charnas, guitarist as well as keyboardist, drummer Patrick Galante, bassist Joe Occhiuti and at least guitarist Justin DeBlieck.
With their latest work, the musicians release a disc that writes down another piece of their band history. "Undead & Unplugged: Live from The Overlook Hotel." was created during a living room concert at the Stanley Hotel, Toronto accompanied by a small group of fans. Classics from their last album were played "The Silver Scream"which even achieved several top 10 placements on the US Billboard charts. The well-known metal songs with hard, guttural vocals became raw acoustic versions, which are in no way inferior to the originals. Ice Nine Kills showed a completely different side of themselves that evening and transformed the halls of the Stanley Hotel into their very own "Horror Show".
