The Rockfels Festival 2017

Crocus

My Immortals.. Welcome to BEHIND THE NOISE!

Day one on the Loreley and despite the fact that the sun was leaning, this unfortunately had no effect on the temperatures. It was still hot and next announced the band, which was the real reason for our visit to Rock am Fels. At this point again a huge thanks to Peter Waelti who invited us to the band's performance and put us on the "guest list". Tensely we stood in the stands and looked at the stage in front of us where the "Big Rocks" banner was just lowered. Immediately the ranks filled up because a few veterans of rock would give the honor (probably not the last time that day.... but more about that later).

From the first to the last song made Crocus live up to their reputation. 100 % pure Buttkickin' Hardrock. No one is surprised that the guys brought the atmosphere to boil from the song on. With the song "A long Stick goes Boom" opened Crocus Their appearance and tuned in the late afternoon, at what felt like 50 degrees, the crowd for an upcoming rock spectacle. The drizzle rules, which started right on time at the beginning of the performance, provided a pleasant refreshment in the still quite hot temperatures. The crowd jumped up and down wildly to the music and sang along loudly, so that the worsening weather was quickly forgotten. Also the guys seemed to come the changeable weather to meet and it made the appearance as that they took the cooler temperatures to the occasion to put one more on it.

The energetic performance really infected the crowd and increased from track to track. Especially Marc with his unmistakable voice had the crowd quickly under his spell. The Marc has been on stage for some time, you can easily see his handling of the microphone. While many musicians have the microphone as a pure tool in front of them, he puts Marc He occasionally throws it upwards, puts it loosely over his shoulder or swings it through the air like a nunchuck. But the rest of the troupe was also quite convincing. The guys proved their skills again and again, among other things through really good solos and so they showed that playing rock music is not just their job, but much more their passion.

Whoever may claim that Crocus who thinks they are getting on in years can be proven wrong at one of their gigs. Like a good wine, good rock is at least with Crocus better with each passing year. When in the middle of the concert Mandy then sang a piece of classical music, the audience immediately went into it and bawled the melody with him around the bet. The atmosphere had just reached its peak, when the show ended. One of the disadvantages of a festival - each artist has unfortunately only a fixed period of time for his appearance. But as already mentioned, this should not be the last performance of Crocus have been that evening.......
