Metallica awarded double platinum for "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" + Acclaimed tour start in Cologne

Two spectacular live shows that left no fan wishes unfulfilled, an exclusive pop-up store in Cologne and finally double platinum for the current album "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" - Metallica celebrated an all-around perfect Germany tour kick-off! The rock icons had released their album at the end of 2016. "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" published and directly Number 1 in the Official German Album Charts conquered. In addition, reached "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" double platinum with us. The award could James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo and then celebrated the second concert in the Lanxess Arena with their fans.

"Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" is Metallica's eighth number one album and also got them off to a highly successful start in this country: in 2016, no other album to date has sold as many copies in Germany in the first week after release as "Hardwired...
