My Octopus Mind release brand new album "Faulty At Source

Hi and welcome to Lila's news!

After exciting release of their latest single "The Greatest Escape" from My Octopus Mind now follows the long awaited by fans new album "Faulty At Source". It is the follow-up to the debut album released two years ago "Maladyne Cave" and is in no way inferior to its predecessor. Rather, the new work shows the process that the guys have gone through in the last two years and is a mirror of their undisputed, diverse sound spectrum.

But who is My Octopus Mind actually? My Octopus Mind is a band from Bristol that formed just under three years ago and consists of Liam O'Connell (guitar, vocals, piano), Isaac Ellis (bass) and the drummer Oliver Cocup. In this constellation they play a style of music that they themselves call "Experimental Rock" describe and transpose difficult topics such as capitalism, social inequality or role models into a language that everyone understands: music.

"Faulty At Source" was made with the producer Jake Birght in Bristol's Christchurch recorded and subsequently by James Trevascus in the Invada Studios rounded off. Especially her song "The Greatest Escape" already gave you goosebumps the first time you listened to it and is an absolute surprise bag that is still good for surprises the tenth time you listen to it. About the song itself tells Liam:

"We found ourselves playing with minimalist textures in what feels like a new musical direction for us. Lyricly it takes a look at the patriarchy, where "strong men don't cry", instead we suppress emotions and vulnerability. I find myself yearning to step out of this paradigm, to become free to express the softness and vulnerabilities, that could be "the greatest escape on Earth".

Awesome! My Immortals, we definitely recommend you to listen to the band's new record and be sure to write us what you think of it.
