Niedeckens BAP release "Lebenslänglich at Heimathafen Neukölln LIVE" on 18 November

On November 18, Niedeckens BAP will release his terrific live concert from January 14, 2016 at the Neuköllner Heimathafen on CD and DVD as "Lebenslänglich im Heimathafen Neukölln" , including live CD, live DVD, his 18th studio album "Lebenslänglich" and a bonus CD for "Sing meinen Song".

On the occasion of the band's 40th anniversary, Wolfgang Niedecken was looking for a suitable location to celebrate the launch of the "Lebenslänglich" album. However, all venues in his hometown of Cologne were already occupied due to carnival meetings. Wolfgang Niedecken made a virtue of necessity and moved from Cologne to Neukölln. In the beautiful Heimathafen he played together with his band and the surprise guests Clueso, Thees Uhlmann, Stephan Stoppok, Nicky Müller, Calexico trumpeter Martin Wenk and Max Prosa both new songs and proven classics.

The 110-minute live recording captures this sometimes cheerful, sometimes thoughtful atmosphere in authentic camera sequences. 17 songs with a clear focus on the present time. Finally, Wolfgang Niedecken heads for memorable stations in his career on "Lebenslänglich". As a person and as an artist. A look back to the future, with which BAP is musically more diverse than ever. His classic ouevre is congenially expanded by the musician duo Ulrich Rode and Anne de Wolff.

When the band and musical guests gather for a euphoric finale after an emotional "Verdamp lang her," they join together to sing David Bowie's "Helden/Heroes," and even cult director and friend Wim Wenders makes a surprise appearance. Further proof that the band's rocking, earthy sound and Niedecken's lyrics, with their sharp observations, political statements, humorous stories and personal insights, reach people of all ages and completely regardless of genre boundaries.
