Rock am Ring, founded in 1985, is a rock music festival that takes place once a year in the Eifel region at the Nürburgring. Together with the twin festival Rock im Park from Nuremberg, this is one of the most traditional and well-known festivals in Germany. Bands that have played there include Metallica, Grandson, Iron Maiden, Green Day and many more.
