The Beatles - Groundbreaking 50th Anniversary Editions of "SGT Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band" starting May 26.

June 1, 2017 marks 50 years since The Beatles - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr surprised and thrilled the world in equal measure, providing the perfect soundtrack to the 'Summer Of Love' with "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". This album is considered a groundbreaking masterpiece that universally became the most recognized pop album. To properly commemorate the 50th anniversary of this release, The Beatles are now releasing a series of high-profile anniversary editions of "Sgt. Pepper," out May 26, 2017 via Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/USM.

The album was remixed by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in stereo and 5.1 surround audio and expanded and enriched with a total of 34 studio takes or pre-release versions of the final album tracks. It represents The Beatles' first remixed and tracked reissue since the 2003 release of "Let It Be ... Naked."

The following formats will be released for the 50th anniversary: 1CD, 2CD Deluxe Edition, 6 Disc Super Deluxe including 144-page book & 2LP. All tracks included on the four anniversary formats have been remixed and in stereo. As a basis Martin took the original four-track recordings that his father (and producer at the time) George Martin had recorded in mono at the Beatles' request at the time.

Paul McCartney comments: "It's absolutely crazy that 50 years later we look back on this project with so much joy - and also certain amazement at how four guys and a great producer along with his sound engineers could create such a classic".
