The Offspring überraschen mit brandneuem Album „Let The Bad Times Roll“

Hey and welcome... Jack is back and today I would like to introduce you to a true piece of music history. If, like me, you were lucky enough to spend your youth in the 90s and if you successfully escaped the techno craze, then you'll love Dexter, Noodles, Ron and Greg have certainly accompanied you musically on the odd night out.

Yes, those were the days when parties started on Fridays and usually came to an abrupt end on Mondays when you realized that you should have been at school already. When we recently received the news that The Offspring on 16.04.2021 after almost 10 years of album abstinence their latest work "Let The Bad Times Roll" those of us who were able to experience those times immediately felt transported back to our youth and our first thought was "this calls for a party". Unfortunately, the euphoria only lasted a short time and gave way to disillusionment because there was something else... some kind of f-k virus.

Ok... "This Is Not Utopia" so "Let The Bad Times Roll"

If you put the first two tracks of the new album together as a sentence, it sounds like the motto of an end-time epic and could also pass as a guiding principle to get through all the chaos of these times. The Offspring are not only one of the pioneers of the American punk rock scene, but with over 40 million albums sold, they are also certainly one of the most successful bands in their genre. Although the guys have been waiting for their new album for the last 10 years, they have been anything but idle with over 500 live shows in this decade.

As critical as ever The Offspring also on your new album "Let The Bad Times Roll" don't mince their words and denounce the domestic political situation in the USA in the title track of the new album. Dexter comments: "I feel like we're at a particular point in history where the leaders of the greatest nations are no longer saying 'we're doing the best we can' but rather something like 'screw it' - and that's pretty scary."

Musically, the guys remain absolutely true to themselves, to our delight and certainly to the delight of the fans. 12 tracks in good old "The Offspring" American punk rock the way you want it... hard, loud, blunt. Besides the opener "This Is Not Utopia" make especially songs like "Breaking These Bones" and "The Opioid Diaries" the record into a true masterpiece. With Bob Rock the punk rock legends have once again brought a producer legend on board, who has already worked with the guys on earlier works such as "Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace" and "Days Go By" but has also already worked with greats such as Mötley Crüe, The Cult Metallica has worked together.

For me personally, the highlight of 2021! That's why I absolutely recommend buying it and I think it should be on every CD shelf.
