Prey Drive und ihre EP „Tabula Rasa“
Morning and welcome to Lila's review!
Only recently we were able to work with Christian from Prey Drive and as promised here comes the review of the EP "Tabula Rasa"! Since two years the four guys play under the name of Prey Drive on various stages and give the best alternative rock from themselves. For many fans of Circa Survive, Thrice or Brand New this band should certainly be a household name.
Prey Drive comes from the Norwich scene in the UK and is recently signed to the independent label Krod Records. Already last week these have their record "Tabula Rasa" at Krod once again published and matching a music video for the track "More Than Magic" (which you can see below).
Small but nice, the EP contains as many tracks as band members. The sound of the disc is very melodic and even special, which at the latest in tracks like "More Than Magic" comes to light. Everything is represented in the disc from gripping guitar riffs to dynamic melodies and leaves nothing out from quiet to loud sounds. The entire EP revolves around the theme of starting completely new and taking a different path. Here, one's own path is trodden once again, without knowing where the journey will lead at the second attempt. "Tabula Rasa" comes from the Latin and translates as "Writing tablet - blank and receptive as a blank page"..
Our magazine is excited about "Tabula Rasa" and hope you are too! Certainly we are looking forward to the new album, which will be "maybe" will appear soon... But that is another story đ
Here the music video to "More Than Magic":
