Metallica at the Grammy Awards: Metallica to Perform at Grammy Awards on February 12 + Nominated for "Hardwired... To Self Destruct"
Metallica are one of the most successful rock bands in the world, having sold over 100 million records worldwide. After their album "Death Magnetic" from the year 2008, Metallica have with "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct"released another longplayer at the end of 2016. But the eight years of waiting have been worth it all along the line: guitar-heavy metal, as you would expect from Metallica knows and celebrates.
The band will perform at the 59th Grammy Awards on February 12. The band announced this via their Facebook page. "It was already an honor to be nominated, and now this?!? We are more than thrilled to have been invited to perform at the 59th Grammy Awards. We have planned something very unique and special for this evening", explains the band in a statement.
The metal giants already performed at the Grammy Awards three years ago. At that time they played their hit "One" together with the famous pianist Lang Lang. Metallica, however, will not only be on site for their own show: For "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct" the band is nominated in the category "Best Rock Song".
