Fall Out Boy unveil new album "So Much (For) Stardust" this Friday

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

Fall Out Boy is back! The alternative rock band releases their new album this Friday and presents with it an unbridled sound that simply has to be released into the world.

"So Much (For) Stardust" is the name of the new album and already announced itself loudly with the first single "Love From The Other Side" . With a sound that is more familiar from albums like "American Beauty/ American Psycho" and "Save Rock And Roll" , the band combines their old familiar style with influences from "MANIA", which becomes a modern mixture of rock, pop and punk. This mixture, so much can be revealed in advance, the band has retained in their new album and thus provides one or the other nostalgia moment.

Their new album exudes a sense of freedom and makes you feel like you can achieve anything. Musically, they combine pop, alternative rock and express it through dynamic, groovy melodies that make you want more. Fall Out Boy have found on "So Much (For) Stardust", the ideal mix between awakeners, emotional listeners and party anthems, which make this work an album that we like to have on repeat.

Especially when listening to it, you realize how much work Fall Out Boy put into their new disc to create a cohesive body of work. All the songs are connected, such as the first song, "Love From The Other Side", and the last one, "So Much (For) Stardust"where Patrick sings the words "You were the sunshine of my lifetime- What would you trade the pain for? I'm not sure" .

In thirteen songs, two of which are short interludes and one of which was even voiced by actor as well as musician Ethan Hawke, the band talks about life, the ups and downs we have to face. It's about love, hope, despair and gives a little comfort in hard times. About the album Patrick tells:

"Technology has made it really easy to make records much more quickly these days. There's nothing wrong with that, and that spontaneity can be exciting. But we wanted to get back to the way we used to work. We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided — like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I'm not a very proud guy, but I'm pretty proud of this record."

Fall Out Boy has created a listening experience both musically and lyrically that puts you in a mood and, above all, makes you look forward to their tour in November. The band is coming to Germany for a few select cities and will surely play new songs from the album as well as classics like "Centuries." Tickets can be found here.
