Papa Roach present "Greatest Hits Vol. 2 - The Better Noise Years" to mark their twentieth anniversary

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

As you could already read in our last announcement, we have Papa Roach have come up with some ideas for their twentieth anniversary and, despite corona, want to celebrate it in style. The band recently released a brand new version of their song "Last Resort ft. Jerris Johnson" and breathed new life into an old classic. Following on from this, they are now presenting a best-off record with their hits from the last decade for the weekend: "Greatest Hits Vol.2 - The Better Noise Years".

Papa Roach has achieved a lot in the twenty years of its band history and, as a young newcomer band from Vacaville at the time, could certainly never have dreamed of what was to come: more than 21 top 5 singles, eight million monthly listeners on Spotify and platinum and gold awards for their work. The boys have managed to establish themselves in the music sector across genres and know how to surprise even after such a long time. This becomes clear with their new album, in which they review a part of their career.

For the publication of "Greatest Hits Vol.2 - The Better Noise Years" will be performing a total of twelve top hits, some remixes and two acoustic numbers. Papa Roach have put together a personal, selected playlist of their best songs from the last ten years, which provides the right background music for a time like this.

With "Born For Greatness" offer Papa Roach The album is an ideal introduction to the album and switches directly from one good song to the next. It feels like a nostalgic trip, especially for fans of the band who have followed them closely in recent years. Above all, the different styles and the change that Papa Roach is particularly evident on this record. In addition to the well-known classics on the album, there are also new versions that some of you will certainly like: Firstly, a new version of the song "Broken As Me" with singer Danny Worsnop from Asking Alexandria as a single release, and there is also a new version of the song "The Ending". The latter will soon be featured in the horror film "THE RETALIATORS" to hear and Jacoby himself will play a role there. We were also amazed when we heard that the singer of Papa Roach is starting an acting career, but if he acts as well as he sings, that shouldn't be a problem for him 😉 The remixes on the record, which have not yet been released, are also a welcome change despite their pop/techno sound and will certainly be played in one club or another after Corona.

Our highlight, which we can warmly recommend, is the acoustic version of "Leader Of The Broken Hearts". The former rock song is rendered here in a natural, light version and, with its warm tones, forms a fitting conclusion to an album that reflects the last decade of a world band.

The band talks about the album: "We wanted to celebrate the last 10 years of our career with this special musical collection that has brought us to where we are today."
