FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH announce new album AFTERLIFE for August 19th! The PreOrder starts!

Following the release of their current single "AfterLife" , Five Finger Death Punchannounce their new album of the same name for August 19, 2022. AfterLife is available for pre-order everywhere now. The band is also releasing "IOU" today, another track from the upcoming album including a Lyric videothat offers a sneak peek into the Metaverse project the band has been working on. The interactive virtual world was developed with the almost photorealistic Unreal Engine and will be an extension of the existing Fan Club App in the near future.

"AFTERLIFE was hands down my favorite record to make” says 5FDP-guitarist Zoltan Bathory and adds: “It is our ninth album so at this point, we have legions of loyal fans, and our signature sound is more than established. It became its own island, our ground zero we operate from and we can always come back to. So when we started this record, there was an excitement of impending musical adventures, we knew we could step away as far as we wanted to, there was a freedom of truly “anything goes.” This resulted in an album that is way more diverse than our previous ones, while it feels more unified, because there is a framework of overarching stories in Ivan’s lyrics and interconnecting musical motifs between songs. It was not planned as a concept album, but we were so hyper-focused on painting a complete picture, it somehow feels like one… We are very proud of it and are just as impatient as the fans waiting for the release, can’t wait to share it.”

AfterLife is the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2020 album F8 which reached #1 on rock charts worldwide and entered the Top 10 mainstream charts in the U.S., Austria, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K. and more (#2 on the official German charts, #2 in Austria and #2 in Switzerland). AfterLife will be available on CD, digital, vinyl and cassette. The full tracklisting for the new album can be found below.

AfterLife vinyl, merchandise and limited edition collectibles selected exclusively by the band will be available for pre-order starting today at the official band and label stores (US 5FDP Store, Euro 5FDP Store, US Label Store, International Label Store) In addition, a limited edition vinyl box set and CD box set will be available exclusively at EMP, as well as additional limited edition vinyl variants available for pre-order starting today exclusively at EMP, Napalm and Nuclear Blast.

Last month, the band released the first official single and title track from their upcoming studio album. Loudwire called it a "hard-hitting rock radio gem you'd hope for from 5FDP, starting with a solitary atmospheric guitar lick, giving way to bullet-like drums and a fleshed out full band assault brimming with energy and a pulsing low end." Their longtime producer, Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach, Skillet) once again handled the work for the Las Vegas band's ninth and arguably most diverse album to date. The lyric video for "AfterLife" can be seen HERE .

The band also recently announced their upcoming U.S. headline tour , which will be hosted by Live Nation . The tour kicks off on August 19 and will feature over 30 shows.
