The Glorious Sons release brand new album "A War On Everything" this Friday

Hi and welcome to Lila's review!

Fitting for the weekend bring The Glorious Sons Their brand new work on the market and in advance we can already say that the fans of the guys can look forward to a really successful disc. In this country probably rather unknown, the five-member band from far away Kingston, Ontario in your home country Canada already belongs for years to a fixed size of rock. With a fresh, snotty sound, which can be located in the alternative rock, know The Glorious Sons also with your new album "A War On Everything" convince all along the line.

Just last year they won the JUNO Award for her album "Young Beauties And Fools" in the category "Best Rock Album Of The Year" and toured with greats like The Rolling Stones or Twenty One Pilotsto present their latest work from the tour bus. "A War On Everything" which you will publish on Friday (13.09.2019). Chapeau!

With the new disc, the guys seamlessly continue the success of their last record, so we wondered what they might have come up with for the next album to top that. In a total of fourteen songs they talk about grief, fear, vulnerability and the feeling of isolation in the 21st century and combine these topics with a warm sound that dips the gray everyday life in color. Social problems, suffering but also the one or other love relationship are treated like in the song "Pink Motel". In this tells frontman Brett Emmons from a failed relationship that broke up because of trivial material things. This song is for him an answer to his ex - girlfriend to "reminding them how meaningless everything is if we are not enough on our own."

The whole thing was recorded and produced by Frederik Thaae in the North of Princess Studio in her hometown of Kingston. "A War On Everything" opens a whole new chapter for the band and writes the lines for a more vibrant, mature sound. About the new disc tells Board continues:

"I think we're all overstimulated, overly dependent or addicted these days and long for a way to isolate ourselves from the world and still be loved."

At the end of this year The Glorious Sons on a grand tour with Welshly Arms in six different German cities. An opportunity that you should not miss!

Our magazine really liked the new disc and gives it the title of "Album of the Month" for September.
